The “ROS In. Occitanie” (RIO) project focuses on the creation of a new 24-seats ROSIn training Centre (RTC) in the UT3 – Paul Sabatier at the horizon of September 2020. This RTC aims to increase the number of undergraduated/graduated/post-graduated trainings provided in the Occitanie region, which will allow a faster integration of robots in companies and a better dissemination of ROS. The main achievements of the RIO project will be: i) the creation of well-focused undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate training programmes that match the professional skills requirements of the companies and favor the use of ROS in industry; ii) the training of new ROS instructors able to operate the various training sessions and iii) the integration under ROS of a set of industrial facilities (conveyors, automatons, robots, vision systems, AGVs). Those integrations will possibly give rise to a set of new ROSIn packages that can be
shared amongs the ROS community.
