At Eindhoven, located in the heart of the Brainport region and considered to be one of the most technologically innovative cities of the Netherlands and the world , there is not a regularly scheduled ROS-I course or educational program being offered with the exception of our Adaptive Robotics Minor which now is only accessible to a small number of students.
Our goal is setting up a training center which is available for both students and professionals from industry, where the students apply their robotics knowledge in an industrial environment, following the safety standards that might apply. We do this using state-of-the-art equipment which can also be used in an industrial real-life setting. In this case applications that are developed during our training can be used for implementation as well. It is relevant and important to have such a training center in a technological hot-spot like Eindhoven.
Up to 60 future engineers per year will use ROS-I in combination with industrial equipment. Furthermore we will realize a regional ROS training center, which will be open to industry for training purposes as well as implementation experiments.
