Last month a session of the ROS-I Academy was hosted for the first time at a third party site, allowing ROSIN education activities to better reach local audiences of its core target: SMEs.
Naturally following the first session of the ROS-I Academy in Delft, we successfully hosted a ROS training session at FabLab Castelfranco Veneto. The host qualified as an instructor during the instructor training held at Fraunhofer IPA in July and together with ROSIN instructors provided twelve attendees with basic Linux training, followed by a ROS curriculum encompassing a system overview as well as manipulation and navigation examples. Participants’ feedback was extremely positive, and ROS is on track to become one of the topics covered at the site by regular training events alongside currently taught subjects such as Python and Arduino.
